"Finally had time to sit down and seriously look at your book, and it is wonderful. What a great, eclectic collection of photos of my favorite home town! The quality of the photography is excellent, the printing is also. Really glad you did this." -Bert INTRODUCTION: Since I've taken thousands of pictures of our area in the past decade, I approached this small sampling by just selecting a few taken in the past year or so, somewhat at random. So this is not a comprehensive collection of my "greatest hits," nor certainly of all the remarkable sights here (We have over 900 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places!). But since our city and area are so photogenic, I hope they will provide some pleasure. If this "off-the-top" collection is well received, I may delve further into my collection for future books. I have not limited myself to "scenic" shots, as this is less a tourism book than a collection of things that have simply caught my eye hereabouts. Therefore some are "interior" shots and "quirky" shots; it's all part of the "Las Vegas experience" for me. The descriptions are few and brief, but if any more explanations come to mind I will add them here. Visitors to Las Vegas quickly see why it is such a popular film and TV location (see video below), and you can see video glimpses of Las Vegas businesses and personalities at www.LocallyOwned.us). Many of these photos are available as mounted prints; to inquire email bluecanyon2 AT juno DOT com, subject line "photo prints." Many more photos of our city and area, featuring many better photographers than I, are on the Facebook page, "The Beauty of Las Vegas, NM and Surrounding Communities, captured.” Finally, many visuals involving these scenes will be incorporated into the forthcoming feature-length historical video, "Las Vegas: What Are The Odds?" May we all see the beauty around us! Jim Terr. November, 2020 Tech note: Most of these photos were taken with an LG Stylo 4; a few with a Panasonic Lumix G-85.
