Bio - Floyd Lujan

 

 

     Floyd Lujan, BFA, MA, is an artist, musician and instructor from northern New Mexico.   Mr. Lujan received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in drawing from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California and also holds a Master’s Degree in painting.
   With K-12 teaching certificates from New Mexico and California, Floyd taught Fine Arts for 26 years in both states, after which he decided to devote himself full-time to painting and writing music.  At his studio in Las Vegas, N.M.,  Mr. Lujan offers private classes in Drawing, Painting, Guitar and Violin.  He may be reached at:  505-425-3115, or by e-mail at Floyd_Lujan@yahoo.com.
     Mr. Lujan’s paintings have been shown in galleries and public venues throughout the Southwest.  His works hang in numerous private collections and his murals adorn public buildings in California and New Mexico.  
      Floyd's recent one-man show and retrospective is a collection of works created over the past 35 years.
     Mr. Lujan has received very positive response for a first children’s book that he wrote and illustrated;  it is the story of a boy’s loss and ultimate recovery of a pet dog.  The book is written for ages 6 through 8 (2nd and 3rd grade).
