(11-22-04)
Thirteen short films by Santa Fe documentary and video producer
Jim Terr will be spotlighted on the prestigious British streaming-video
website, www.3btv.com , which will
celebrate "Jim Terr Day” Tuesday, December 7.
Terr is one of the few
non-British producers, and has the second-highest number of films,
featured on the 3btv site. Although the “Jim Terr
Day” showcase is December 7, the thirteen shorts are already posted
for viewing on the site.
NOTE: Since "Jim Terr Day" has now passed, 3btv.com
has all these shorts listed under LIBRARY and AUTHOR (Jim Terr). Terr's
featured pieces range from documentary and public safety spots to comedy
shorts, four of which feature his character, ultra-patriotic c/w singing
star “BuDDy.” (see list of
shorts on below). One of the BuDDy videos, “The Passion of BuDDy,” will
also screen at the Santa Fe Film Festival December 2 and 4, in the “New
Mexico Sampler” program.
Several of the short films to be featured
on 3btv.com have been shown in various New Mexico film festivals, and
some are recently-produced. "Jim
Terr Day" will be introduced by promotional spots featuring BuDDy,
who also hosts a 50-minute episode of the UK-based country music program, The
Internet Country Show ( www.InternetCountryShow.com ).
Terr is the producer of a series of critically-acclaimed educational
documentaries recently released on a DVD entitled “Five Frightfully
Fine Videos” (see www.BlueCanyonVideo.com ),
which is also featured in one of the shorts posted on 3btv.com. Release
parties for the DVD will be held Monday and Tuesday, December 6 and
7, in Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
Terr's bio on www.3btv.com states:
Jim Terr produces documentaries as well as comedy shorts, and (like
everyone) hopes to produce features. A political animal, Terr sings
and records many satires at www.BlueCanyonSatire.com .
In a non-political vein, he and his friend "BuDDy" perform
often.
A film and stage actor, he enjoys using actor friends in his short
films, as well as bringing out the talent in "inexperienced" talent,
creating custom short films for anyone who wants to be in a film
and can pay for it!
